EXCEPTIONAL END OF THE DAY WALK
By kayak, and paddle, in the evening, towards the islands of Sigean
Alone in the world, set off to explore an island and return at sunset.
Let's go for 2 hours of adventure! accompanied by an instructor.
A unique concept in Narbonnaise, being immediately immersed in a 100% natural, 100% preserved setting, that of the Narbonnaise Regional Natural Park in the Mediterranean. Between land and sea, in the heart of still wild nature, in the middle of the colors of the end of the day, let's set off to discover... This supervised walk is only possible in July and August during the longest days. The originality is of course the tasting of an organic wine on the Aute Island in the middle of the lagoon. Ready to embark, choose your boat, Kayak or Paddle, individually or in a group.
PORT MAHON AND THE LAGOONS
The Bages-Sigean pond was the port of ancient Narbonne. There are several wild islands, still very little known, because they are protected. By going there with a Park guide, you are guaranteed to respect the place. Before leaving, you discover the site of Port Mahon: a chalk cliff at the edge of the ponds, a site that has remained preserved and authentic.
USEFUL INFORMATION
- Meet 10 minutes at the Port Mahon nautical base, in Sigean
- Duration: 2 hours of kayaking, paddling
- Minimum age 14 years.
- Activity for 6 to 18 people.
Pay attention to safety conditions
- knowing how to swim is compulsory for everyone.
- Children aged 14 can board alone or in pairs.
DO NOT BE LATE ! Plan to arrive 10 minutes early. Once the tour has started, you will not be able to rejoin the group and you will not be able to receive a refund.
If the wind conditions are too strong, or if the minimum number of people is not reached, the visit will be canceled. You will be offered a postponement or a refund.

The WildLine, this paddle ride accompanied by an instructor will allow you to sail in the direction of the wind and enjoy the magnificent landscapes of the lagoon. If the wind comes from the sea (small sea breeze) you will leave in the direction of Peyriac de Mer, on the other hand if the Tramontane is blowing you will leave in the direction of the island of Nadière (towards Port La Nouvelle) the return will be made in boat. When you embark, let yourself glide along the water and admire the landscapes: The wild islands, The birds ... Imagine yourself in Roman times with nature as far as the eye can see ... Did you know? The Bages / Sigean lagoon complex is made up of many islands. Some host dry Mediterranean natural habitats (lawns, scrubland, etc.) quite unusual in the middle of a pond, and which further accentuates the variety and mosaic effect of the environments.
The idea of this unaccompanied outing allows you to discover this magnificent lagoon in Explorer mode according to your desires in freedom. Different routes allow you to go to the islands of our body of water, the Aute, the soulier, planasse (regulated), the oulous, the mouth of the Berre, the small port of Peyriac de Mer, the village of Bages or the port of the Nautique for a navigation on the north of the body of water, south side the canal called "des romains", the island of Nadière "old fishing village", the cabins of Sigean "old fishing hamlet", enough to retrace the history of the women and men of the lagoon "Élisyques", "Moors", "Romans", "Greek", Sigeanais, Peyriacois nicknamed the "Ventre Bleu" to the Bageots "the inhabitants of Bages", the Nouvellois "aka" the Sigeanais of the beach", remember to take camera, binoculars, old shoes, and all the protection against the sun!!
